Ok, first let me start off by saying if your not a fan of the Clone Wars cartoon you will, more than likely, not like this game. I however, am a fan, so with that, it does a pretty good job with that aspect of the game. Supposely, it takes place between season 1 and 2 of the series. The story is pretty decent, and the ability to play so many different characters is also a plus. It basically like a Mario or Sonic style of game play. Depending on the mission, you either wield a lightsaber and utilize the power of the force or play as a clone trooper an use an assortment of guns and grenades, with the occasional rocket launcher and mini gun. Basically you run around, hacking and slashing, jumping on droids, collecting force points and kills. I love playing as a clone trooper, because it has that type of shooting like on the Slash TV game. The right analog stick controls the direction you shoot. However the biggest frustration has to be when it comes to the jedi jumping nuances on many of the levels. Like jumping from pole to pole only to die over and over and over again, because the target to land on is so small. Especially when trying to jump on a STAP. It is co-op, but I have nobody to play with here, so I won't delve into that area. There are little mini challenges where you can destroy waves of droids after passing certian areas during a time limit, but I really don't see the point of it. Other than trying to beat your buddy during it maybe. When you play as a jedi you can jump on top of the droid and "droid jack" them, which allows you to control them for a short time to say shoot other droids or get pass an objective. You can use the points you collect to purchase combat upgrades, droid jack dances or big bobble type heads. If you like running around with a big Yoda head, this could be a perk. If you have kids, I recommend it for them, since it seems more geared to them. Although the graphics aren't great they do stay true to the cartoon. If you like Clone Wars, then go rent it and have fun. You can probably breeze through it in a day or two. I thought is was fun action-aventure game but maybe not worth the $50 I spent on it. I give it a 1 thumb up, or a 3 out of 5, or a 6 out of 10, depending on the scoring system you like.
Well, as most of you on COD W@W knows, I've been having 360 disc read errors for months. Well, I decided to send my 360 off for repair, and then went out and bought a used 360. I've heard nothing but horror stories about changing xboxs so I was online looking and found nothing that could help me so I decided to call xbox support before I did something irreversable. Well, I called customer support and talked to accounts and billing, which only pissed me off and caused me to hang up with the lady. I won't go into details, lets just say I was an absolute ass about it. Anywho I called back and talked to tech support this time, which it what I should of done in the first place. It's a long drawn out 2 step process which involves your PC, xbox.com/drm and you new or used 360 all at the same time. Well all of those steps are relatively painless, but heres where it starts to hurt. You have to go and download EVERYTHING again. It's all about the licenses, see apparently each game or downloadable content is tied to that SN of the 360. So you have to download again to attach the license with the new SN. Now some things downloaded like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5% download complete, but a few things have been full downloads. I don't know if it's because it wasn't done properly by MS the last time I had my 360 replaced or what. See last time my 360 broke, they did everything and I went weeks with no 360, however there was stuff I had on my hard-drive that would error out if I tried to play it. I'm thinking that's what is causing this some of the content to do full 100% download. I have 63 items I have to do this with, and I've been at it for over an hour. But if I'm successful it will be worth it. So far one problem is that my Elite had HDMI and this thing doesn't, which is now a problem because when I'm away from the house I use a 22" LCD computer monitor with HDMI, so now I guess I'm going to have to buy and adapter. The other problem is that it's white so that's it don't match. Thirdly when I get my Elite back, I will have to go through all of this again. Maybe I should of just sent it off and saved the $170 and headache. So has anybody else gone through this?
Ok here's the deal, I've been trying for heavens knows how long to get the Mrs into gaming. Everytime I try she get's flustered, I get ill, and it would usually go down like this: "No your other left! That's your right! Do you even know the difference? Why are you looking at the ceiling? Well looking at the floor isn't good either" Does this sound familar to anyone. See I have a lot of friends (that would be you) and fun online. She has NO fun online. Shes a part of my life and I want to include her in some way. So the choices are to A: get her into gaming B: quit gaming or C: let her do her thing, let me do my thing. We've been doing C for over 12 years and I really want her to be a part of this. And just so you know B will NEVER happen. I see people like Boda & Guinness or JuSThE2oFUs203 & think now why can't we be like that. So I'm at the stage where I'm STILL trying to teach her the controls, and I know it all takes time & patience. What I'm looking for is tips to make it easy on her and me. Games that are really good and teaching that FPS stile of play. ANYTHING that has helped teach someone to play. For example we tried a little Mass Effect yesterday and after about 10 minutes she was done. Apparently the fingers aren't comprehending what the brain is telling it.
Hey while trying to make fun of JCB I came across this comparison between the 360 Elite and the regular 360. Quite interesting. Check it out at:

Just make sure you check out part 2 at the bottom of the page Tier. (He's all about the 65nm chip, whatever that is.)
