Last or 1st I heard of the DOB was when COD4 came out, i think it was either Wnchstr or '71 had it as their clan tag and it grew from there. i dunno if this is the same thing, but that was my take on it

HAHA yeah JCB started it, I think. It's mostly just our friends who play COD4. See we had 8 of our friends together to play COD4, somebody thought it would be funny if we were all DOB's. So a bunch of us put Dirty ol Bastard as our clan tag. Well, we couldn't get anybody to play with us, cause there like "Holy Shit their all the same clan" and bug out of the match. However there are so many of us, sometimes you get DOB's on both sides. That is fun. How does one become a DOB? All you need is COD4 and offer JCB a virgin goat. hahahahaha

I suppose I'll get it since it's supposed to play like SW:BF, right? I have to admit though, I thought the LOTR movies were fine, but I'm not exactly a fanboy or anything. For me, SW:BF was a chance to re-experfience a favorite childhood memory. LOTR doesn't hold the same place in my heart. Again, not hating on it, it's just a different situation for me personally. Anyway, yeah sure, I'll give it a shot.

And thanks for the warm welcome everyone. :) Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, "Girl Lando" isn't around anymore. Loooooong story....

As far as LOR, I'm with you. This is not the genre I want to be playing. I will get more a SWBF feel from B:BC than LOR that's for sure.

Sorry to hear you guys aren't together anymore.

I'm not a fan of LOTR, I haven't seen the movies or even read the books, but I'm going to try the game just because of the gameplay. I think Battlefront was an amazing game no matter what the theme was. Star Wars, LOTR, WWII, Modern Combat... I don't think the setting mattered much, I still would have been there for the gameplay.

Just the way they were able to combine Capture the Flag style with Team Deathmatch, then add in Classes and Renforcements, it was a thing of beauty. Hopefully, they can repeat the experience. If they can fix the lag issues, and balance out the gameplay, it will be the 'sleeper hit' of the year.

this poses a dilema for me, people are making comparisons to BF with regards to the LOTR game (which is good), thing is, I CANT STAND LOTR!!!!
