well,what the fuck.....cant say i am suprised,this has benn a very full week for America only

first the 'international' comic book convention items on the marketplace were American only,then we had a lot of stuff for national geographic which were American only(yet,we have the channels,and i get the magazine every month)..and then today Fatal Inertia demo is American and japan....no europe,well screw europe...what i mean is....no UK!!!


and now it looks like its gonna continue,Call of Duty 4 beta is to be American only,i have been looking forward to this for some time,they could of made halo 3 US only,i wouldnt of minded that

That does Suck, as you said Orph, they went global with Halo3, why not with COD4. Its just another example of how Europe ( mainly us Brits) pay more for a lesser service. COD4 does look the bollox. Nov is the release date if I aint mistaken

Over at the Charlie Oscar Delta Forums details have surfaced regarding the registration for the Call of Duty 4 Beta beginning today at 5PM PST!


Preamble:
We worked hard to get this beta done July 26th. Since then we've been working on logistical issues, MS cert, what would be involved to make everything work internationally, number of keys, and a bunch of other boring non-game stuff. Most of it is just related to being the first 3rd party console game to offer a beta.

Now there are even more logistical issues coming up. Streetwise is pumping up their servers in an effort for charlieoscardelta to be able to handle the beta traffic. Additionally, since they are testing the new servers right now they can't really update them. So putting up countdowns, changing and testing the scripts to gather info for tokens, etc would have to wait a bit.

But we've been playing the beta internally, and it's so much fun we are dying to play with you. So... let's blow off waiting for the site and just consider this the countdown -- there will be a way for people to register for the beta starting 5pm PST tomorrow. Some of those will be playing as early as tomorrow night.. tick tock tick tock.

The roll out:
The beta is going to roll out in waves. Rather than just putting a million people in the beta and hope nothing goes wrong, we will ramp up the playercount over time.

As fourzerotwo mentioned, right now some friends/family are testing. The press will be joining in the next couple days -- including those of you who make it into the first wave.

No worries if you aren't in the very first wave (most won't be), we should have a new wave of players every day or so as we ramp up.

*= this may not be the only way to ever get in the beta, but it is the way to have a chance to get in the early waves.

i have just seen this from Game.co.uk saying they have a limited number of Beta access codes for COD4. All you have to do to be in with a chance getting the beta is pre order COD4 from them.

Very tempting, thing is,
1, I have no patience and i dont want to wait for the game to be delivered I wanna get it on the day of release (Nov 9th at the moment)
2, a COD4 Demo has to come out on the Market Place at some point (saying that, I bet they "do a Halo3" and only offer it to a select number, seeing as it is a very online motivated game)

I could order it, get the code, then cancel the order...............:rubs chin in a bond-baddie kinda way:

well as said,i joined charlieoscaredelta.com...but i needed the confirmation email to come...it never did,so from then site,i resent my the email hoping it would arrive in my email box...it never did,i wrote an email to them(cod people)they never answered...i deleted my account and joined again with my other email address...never got the email again,resent it again,never got it again....emailed the people again,and ...finally....never got a reply from them..again

and yes,my email(both addresses)are fine


but i heard that the actual beta will be distributed across europe and other places soon....i have about 3 friends playing this on my list....and i hate that!!
