so,i have just got back from seeing pirates 3 at the cinema...2 hrs 40minutes...and in a seat where my nose was touching the pissing screen

if you remember the end of pirates 2,it looked as though jack was buggered and the nasty beasty was gonna eat him....what can i say,do you want me to spoil it?...okay i will...jacks back

i wont go into the ins and outs,but the crew,including barbossa,turner and swann go to davey jones' locker(which is kinda like,the sea term for the other side,or the afterlife if you want)to go rescue jack...and then continue the fight against the east indian trading snobs and davey jones' flying dutchman crew

special effects are pretty much second to none,there are some great effects and explosions on the screen...the laughs are there as well,although not as memorable as number 2...me thinks..the monkey and parrot steal the movie at times

cast-pretty much all the cast from the first two films are back...including this time Chow yun fat and a cameo(blink and you WONT miss him...its longer than i thought)from Keef richards,the rolling stones axe man...johnny depp,is again great in the role,just this time,maybe wearing a little thin...and i am a big johnny depp fan

story-okay,i said a bit up there...but that was just to let you know what was going on...............everything else,was.....a bit fucking bizarre,no really,this film before i saw it had a double...or triple dose of LSD.....the story is up in the air for much of the movie,people double crossing others only to double cross again....a ship full of Jack sparrows,giants on ships.....it left me a few times not knowing what the hell was going on,you will know what i mean when you see the film


remember number 2?...the bullshit factor was at a nice 3 out of 5,which is just about right for any kind of imaginative film.....this one is a 6 out of 5...its crazy at times.

anyway,in the end,its decent entertainment enough,and if you liked numbers 1 and 2...then the odds are.you'll like this....i liked the film,but was expecting better...storywise

i feel as though i will benefit more from the DVD version,so hopefully it will be better then


but for the time being i give a metals movie rating of 3/5

Thanks for the review Orph; is your neck feeling better from sitting so close to the screen? Two hours and 40 minutes seems like the average for epic movies now these days. That whole double crossing thing sometimes pisses me off, as long as at the end everything is cleared out then it's all good.

my neck is okay,but i got a damn headache from trying to focus my eyes so that i could take in all the screen




and as for the ending of the film.....................well....it certainly was different

and i am buying the game tomorrow
