if i had to be very very picky it would be the disappointment that when you blow the buildings up,there is smoke and then there are just skeleton remains of the building,not really any rubble

but other than that,it looks very cool,i just hope the helicopter controls are okay(i have had trouble with past games helicopter controls like Battlefield Bad company)

Black Ops 360 Beta?

there are rumours that later today Treyarch will announce a 360 BETA for their upcomign COD:Black Ops

its to be announced at 7pm Pacific(2am BST)

i have an interview tomorrow(fucking hell!!)..so i will be trying to get some sleep instead of the usual go to bed at 6am lark

the game is to be released in just over 2 months time

The quick fingers at Leakerz supposedly snapped a few pictures of the beta's website, which states the beta will be revealed at 7pm Pacific time (that's 2am UK time).

During E3, Treyarch said it would be working with Microsoft on some Black Ops exclusives for Xbox 360 players - could the multiplayer beta be one of those?

Treyarch recently confirmed it would release tools and support the mod community post release.

New Redesigned Controller Out November

remember people having problems with the D-Pad on the 360 controller(mainly people who play Fighting games)

well,Microsoft have redesigned the controller,so now you twist the D-pad so that it rises above that circular barrier,and the directions on the D-Pad become more pronounced

however,it seems Microsoft can't do anything right...sure they fix the D-Pad,but now they get rid of the colours on the A,B,X, and Y buttons

the colours help me when i am doing some fast button presses...in fact i don't really 'listen' to the A,B,Y and X...i see red,i know where to press i see yellow....i press the top button

anyway,its going to be $64.99 with a plug and play charge kit from 9th November

play hardcore mode from start to finish...gulp

looks like you are collecting snow globes this time round instead of Bobbleheads,and 30 levels straight off

off course if you are feeling brave and you do go for that Hardcore mode,remember to fuck the side missions off and just go for the main story missions

Batman Arkham Asylum Goty

so,i picked up the Game of the Year edition of Batman Arkham Asylum today

the game boasts,the full game and the 6 challenge maps

the challenge maps i will prolly not bother with,never have been a fan of DLC etc that only really concentrates on Combat (like Fable 2/Mass Effect arena's etc)

overall there is not really much of a difference to the first edition,however,this version can be viewed in 3D,and when i say 3D i am of course not talking about Real D 3D...but the old Red and Green 3D

so i tried this out...it works but its not like everything sticks out(which i understand would be overkill),Batman is always in 3D,so looking at Bats and rotating the camera around him is pretty cool to look at...but then there are only a few other things that really make any difference

for example,the cutscene at the beginning where the Batmobile is screeching through the streets of Gotham with the Joker as its Passenger,the only thing i really noticed which was in 3D was a street light,that the camera pans across

so i kind of weighed up the fact that,wearing the cardboard glasses,was not really worth the experience of playing the game in 3D...so i am gonna continue in normal mode,especially as when i took the glasses off i went crosseyed for a minute

the case has a nice cardboard slipcase to it though,with a 3D effect cover

oh,and imagine my surprise when an Achievement popped up at the start and it had me puzzled,and i thought i had already got that Achievement from the first time i played the game

well,seems that GOTY edition is totally separate from the normal edition as though they are two games,so i can earn all new achievements from this game..yay

FWIW-the game was 18 quid brand new from HMV in their sale

so what have we learned

Batman game in 3D,you look you go oooh and then you get bored and take the glasses off
6 Challenge maps that are/were all ready available
nice cardboard sleeve for case
but i get to play Batman again as though never played it,thanks to achievements :)

it would of been nice if the game had been given some meaty DLC,and not just challenge rooms,but i guess its too late for that now

360 Headset Audio Improvement Coming This Fall

The 360 is getting a decently sized update this Fall,to coincide with Kinect,as well as the Kinect features our Avatars will also be updated...and the Audio over Xbox Live

seems Rare have let slip that the current 360 Avatars are up for a make over

apparently now they will be more realistic proportions

which i liked much better,i was very interested in this bonus disc with the 83 minute film..and the steel tin as my Dead Rising 1 has a steel tin also
