Okay this was one of the two movies I saw this weekend. Despite what the reviews said I liked this movie. The movie follows an ATF Agent played by Denzel Washington. The movie takes place in New Orleans where a boat gets blown up in an act of terrorism. On this boat was military personnel, women, children etc. The act was carried out by a very fitting Jim Caviesal a la Timothy McVeigh. Denzel is asked by the FBI Agent Val Kilmer to be part of a new investigative unit.

Denzel is brought on originally to help piece together how the act was done and how to solve it. The crew tells Denzel that they are looking at surveilliance footage captured 4 days in the past and that everything is rendering in the computer. They can't rewind or fast forward but have to look at everything as if it is in realtime. Denzel discovers however that the people they're watching seem to know something is happening. He realizes that they are somehow looking into the past with the technology. After he discovers this he tries to change the past after he falls in love with one of the victims.

The movie was a trip. It makes you wonder a bit about the movie like some of the stuff that he does somehow takes place in the past and it leaves the viewer wondering if he hadn't changed anything if everything would have happened differently or the same. Its a trip. Like stuff happens in the current timeline that could have only happened if he went back but we're left with a conundrum because the stuff he did in the past shouldn't happen in the same timeline. Its a stretch but if you're willing to suspend your disbelief it is a really good movie that makes you think a bit about choices and consequences.

I can't wait to see this movie. The previews looked great and I never miss a movie that Denzel Washington stars in.
