So this was one of the two movies I saw this week. Seven Pounds is the new Will Smith movie
I don't want to give too much about the movie away but as you can tell from the trailer its a pretty deep and profound movie. The movie centers around Ben Thomas an IRS agent who holds a secret that is tearing him up. He picks out 7 people at random to help and drastically change their lives. The movie is mainly about redemption and loss.
I have to say I was impressed with Will Smith's acting in this. Usually he tries to be all funny but in this role he plays a pretty serious guy and comes off a bit realistic. Great supporting roles in this. Woody Harelsoon plays a blind vegan meat salesman whom Will seems to harass at the beginning of the movie. You'll see the motivation for it later on. Rosario Dawson (hottie) plays a young woman with a bad ticker whom Will seems to fall in love with. Barry Pepper plays the childhood friend who has reluctantly agreed to Will's request. Sad ending I don't know how much more I can say without giving away the plot.
