So Beta and I went to see WTC last night and we were bored out of our freakin' minds. It is like the opposite of Descent. They rush you into the collapse and then you see them trapped in the rubble for over 3/4 of the movie. Definitely a tear jerker, but I wouldn't pay to go see this film. Too long to sit through.
I could but I felt like I was trapped myself. Trapped in my seat and forced to screen the movie that was highly overacted. I'm really kinda bummed. I was hoping that it would be a good movie.
Jay Hernandez dies, Stephen Dorf is in it, what more can I say? The most excitement I had with this movie is when I dropped it when I tried to move it. Took me 3 hours to clean it up.
Actually that is good to know I was wondering about this movie. I seen
the Previews the other night and thought I might see this movie but
knowing I can wait till dvd always is easier on the wallet.
Thanks for asking the question about "the descent" Warthog.
Thae movie is also in poor taste. Not to mention, the commercials are on every 10 minutes here. Hollywood is getting desperate for ideas. Afterall, Saw 3 comes out at Halloween and Grudge 2 is early fall. It is very similar to Wes Craven's "They" which came out about 3-4 years ago.
With great respect to Omega, I could not disagree more about WTC. YEs it was long and focused on 2 survivors only, but I felt it was handled superbly by Oliver Stone. WTC is a movie that reminds us what people went through on that horrible, horrible day. 9/11 is soemthing I fear is fading from our thoughts, and we need to remember what happened that day, and the people we lost. My thinking may be in the minority, but I never want to forget the impact the attacks on the WTC had on our lives, and I certainly never want to forget those involved. I give WTC 2 thumbs up for touching on a sensitive issue as well as it did.
