looks pretty good. Looks like its for us 30 somethings that grew up on the A Team in the 80s, rather than a re imagined/re hash Liam Nesson look like he is having to much fun a Hannibal. After him in Taken, he can do no wrong by me
Ensemble cast headed by Richard Gere. Don Cheadle plays as an undercover cop buying drugs. Ethan Hawke young cop trying to save for his family and takes drug money from a crime scene. Wesley Snipes... Whoa he's not in jail? Richard Gere is trying to make it out of the force alive a few days from retiring.
This is one weird movie. It stars Brad Dourif. Yeah you remember him that creapy guy Grima Wormtongue from lord of the rings. Weird fantasy flick. Darkness envelopes a small town people start dying. Kid shows up with magical sword kills things and tries to save teenage girl.
I think we've talked about this but i thought I'd post it. The Sherlock Holmes film trailer with Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Watson
looks quite good....you Americans don't half over react in the cinemas though,LOL....i still remember on the news it showing all the crowd cheering at the white house getting blown up in independence day
i could of sworn i had already covered Thor being made into a movie
anyway, this is old news but still surprising that Directing the film is Kenneth Branagh(old Lockhart himself)..i like Branagh, but this has still surprised me
well, now there are rumours flying about...and the new rumours are that Thor will have Jude Law and Robert DeNiro in it
Robert Deniro was in Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein and Jude Law was in Branaghs remake of Sleuth(he also pulled out of directing Jude Law in the stage version of Hamlet)..so there are connections
not sure what parts they are supposed to be lined up for...i have a strange affection for Thor ever since seeing Adventures in babysitting(a night on the town) :)
Hey folks, Harry here with the latest bit of Superhero Film Casting News and it is very strange indeed. According to actor, Matthias Schweighöfer, who you may have seen in VALKYRIE or RED BARON - in an article in the German edition of Gentlemen's Quarterly aka GQ, he states that he's in the running for a role in Branagh's THOR, but he also mentions that Jude Law and Robert DeNiro have joined the cast.
Now, I don't doubt that they have, they're very much the sort of Actor I would expect from a Kenneth Branagh helmed THOR film, I'm just absolutely flummoxed to think who they are playing. I have to give thanks to our German reader, "I SAY THEE FUCKING KA-JAY!" for giving me the heads up on the article. And for that matter, who would Matthias Schweighöfer play? Interesting times as these Superhero films rush to begin shooting soon!
we have seen return of Michael Myers,Jason Vorhees and er..Leatherface
now..
its Freddy's turn
i thought i had already made a thread about the remake,i guess i was wrong..however there is a trailer to watch of the new one right here...doesn't look too bad, looks like it at least sticks to the original story(somewhat)
no Robert Englund,No Wes Craven and er..no Johnny Depp
saw this at the Transformers 2 Film. looks really good, a very unique concept. must have been a nightamre to film having to do the real Bruce willis and the his surrogate
Columbia Pictures is developing a third installment of the high-octane "Bad Boys" franchise, tapping Peter Craig to pen the screenplay.
The hope is to have a script that would reunite director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. At this point, with the project in the early stages, none has a deal to return.
The "Boys" movies feature Smith and Lawrence as Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, caught up in cases involving car chases and explosions.
The first "Boys," released in 1995, helped launch Bay as a director and Smith as an action star even though it was not a fire-stamped blockbuster -- it grossed $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide.
The sequel, released in 2003 when Bay and Smith's stars had risen, grossed $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide.
All parties have expressed a willingness to return if a story can be hammered out. One potential hurdle, however, would be the costly deals with the players.
Craig, repped by CAA and Management 360, co-wrote "The Town," which Ben Affleck is directing for Warner Bros. and which shoots in Boston next month. He is adapting anime "Cowboy Bebop" for 20th Century Fox and Keanu Reeves.
as long as Gabrielle Union is in it again i am all for this
and yes, shivers did go down my spine when i saw Keanu Reeves involved in a Cowboy Bebop movie
John Rambo's officially readying for a fifth mission.
Nu Image/Millennium Films has greenlit the franchise's fifth installment, with Sylvester Stallone starring and directing, repeating his duties from 2008's "Rambo."
The upcoming project's storyline revolves around Rambo fighting his way through human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a young girl abducted near the U.S.-Mexico border. Production will start in the spring.
The film will be produced by Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton and John Thompson. Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short and Boaz Davidson will exec produce.
Stallone had indicated in interviews that a fifth Rambo was in the works. He teamed with Nu Image/Millennium on the 2008 project, which grossed $42 million domestically and $113 million overseas.
Nu Image/Millennium is in post-production on "Expendables," starring Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke. The actioner's set for release on April 23 through Lionsgate.
Rambo first appeared in the 1982 pic "First Blood," followed in 1985 by "First Blood II" and in 1988 by "Rambo III."
Robert Zemckis-has he vowed never to make a normal film again or what?..after the success of The Polar Express,Beowolf and the upcoming 'A christmas Carol' all using 3D technology
Robert Zemeckis is apparently in talks with Disney to remake Yellow Submarine with the same 3D technology,he has access to 16 of The Beatles songs...it is unsure whether it will be a new story or just a remake of the old story
QUOTE
The storyline of the original took place in Pepperland, an undersea paradise protected by Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. When the band is captured by the music-hating Blue Meanies, a soldier is sent to Liverpool to fetch the Fab Four, who hop in the submarine and save the day.
just be sure to take your drugs before you enter the cinema, you'll need them
i used to have Yellow Submarine on DVD,its a fun film, but i would say that as i am a big Beatles fan..the DVD got fucked up in my PS2 Robert Zemeckis to remake Yellow Submarine
its unclear whether Zemeckis will keep the footage at the end of the original film with The beatles, singing All Together Now(see below)
do you want to see the cast?...i think you will want to see the cast
some of this is 80s casting at its very best
Sly Stallone(see pic) Jason Statham Jet Li Dolph Lundgren(thats right,Drago and Rocky back again) Eric Roberts Randy Couture(UFC champ) Steve Austin(Wrestling dude, not the 6 million dollar man) Mickey Rourke
Bruce Willis(Rumoured) Arnold Schwarzenegger Brittany Murphy
all they need is Mel Gibson and the cast of The Goonies and they would be set
seems Robert Downey Jr is to take on the role of Lestat the Vampire is what some people reckon as a reboot to the Anne Rice novels 'The Vampire Chronicals'
Lestat was made famous(who didn't read the novels anyway) in the 1994 film Interview with the Vampire played by Tom Cruise
We've been scrambling all week to confirm the following report, especially since it came from a very reliable source and is insanely logical considering the popularity of vampires these days. I guess something good has come from the success of Twilight as Bloody Disgusting has learned exclusively that Universal Pictures is looking to restart Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles, which tells the tale of the vampire Lestat Du Lioncort (through his narration), a nobleman-turned-vampire in the late 18th century. No word yet on how they plan on unrolling this franchise, but we did find out who they are talking with to replace Tom Cruise and Stuart Townsend. Read on for the skinny.
We have confirmed this afternoon that ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is in close talks to play the vampire Lestat in Universal Pictures' The Vampire Chronicles, a newly rebooted franchise based on Anne Rice's popular novels.
Lestat appears as a major character in both motion picture adaptations of The Vampire Chronicles novels. In Neil Jordan's 1994 film adaptation of Interview with the Vampire, he is portrayed by Tom Cruise. In the 2002 film adaptation of Queen of the Damned, he is played by Stuart Townsend.
The Vampire Chronicles is a series of novels by Anne Rice that revolves around the fictional character Lestat de Lioncourt, a French nobleman made into a vampire in the 18th century.
From Wiki: The Vampire Chronicles
Interview with the Vampire (1976) The Vampire Lestat (1985) The Queen of the Damned (1988) The Tale of the Body Thief (1992) Memnoch the Devil (1995) The Vampire Armand (1998) Merrick (2000) Blood and Gold (2001) Blackwood Farm (2002) Blood Canticle (2003)
i loved Interview with the Vampire,i think i may watch it tonight on DVD even...i didn't bother at all with Queen of the Damned...as with Sherlock Holmes i am a bit suspect of Downey in the role of Lestat,i like the guy and i do think he a cool actor..just not sure how would be able to pull this off convincingly
some say he is too old to play Lestat,Anne Rice herself doesn't know for sure, but is excited f it is to be RDJ,and says that its nonsense that he is too old
decide for yourself
and if it is a reboot of the series, are Universal aiming for all 10 novels?
This movie looks crazy kinda like the Prophecy mixed with Terminator.
God has decided to wipe the earth and start anew. There is only one hope and its an unborn child.
The archangel Michael(Paul Bettany - Silas in Da Vinci Code) decides that that wont be kosher with him so he defies god and comes to earth. He cuts off his wings and comes to protect the woman whose child will be the future of humanity. Along the way he runs into dennis quaid, forest whitacker and Tyrese. The angels are sent to clean things up and Michael must stop them
i thought i had made a thread already about this film, but i can't seem to find it
when i first heard about it and the cast, and especially with Tim Burton directing i was very excited, then i saw Johnny Depp and i though 'eugh'..typical Burton gone too far...but now with this trailer i am pretty excited for it again
Denzel Washington's New Movie looks almost like Fallout 3
A post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind
Starring Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Beals
has anyone posted this before, its just that i am sure i watched this trailer on here(or somewhere)
anyway 2012 is the new film from Roland Emmerich who did films like Independence day and The Day After Tomorrow...and now another 'end of the world' film 2012(named that i guess after the prediction that is the world will end December 2012.....read the wiki page on it )
anyway,John Cusack stars..and to get its money before the end of the world happens,SONY release it at the end of this year
looking on the IMDB page it shows the Woody Harrelson,Thandie Newton and Danny Glover will also be in it
check out the teaser,if youtube will let you..if not just click the screen of youtube to be taken to that page
The hat is officially out of the bag. On Monday Shia Labeouf let slip that a follow up to Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was on the cards and now Frank Marshall has pretty much confirmed it, suggesting that Indy V could be approaching the pencil-chewing script development stage.
Although he didn't specify timelines, Marshall told Empire that ideas would be worked on with a view to green-lighting production sooner rather than later. "It's really about the script," says the veteran Indy producer. "Once we see that, we'll see. We're not going to wait another 20 years. We'd all love to make another one. I'm anxious to hear the idea!"
But are Mssrs. Spielberg, Ford and Lucas equally sold on a fifth outing for the whip-cracking archeologist? "Yeah. We had a great time making the last one and, as Harrison said, we need to make this one soon. We're not getting any younger."
With Ford fast approaching his 67th birthday, time is definitely of the essence. Up may have raised the bar for the ageing adventurers, but Indy showed signs of creakiness in The Crystal Skull and it's safe to rule out too many rolling boulder chases or collapsing rope bridges from a further sequel. Hopefully the same goes for the gopher.
One caveat to all this is the lack of a concrete idea. As Marshall told us: "Until there's a script, nothing's definite. I haven't heard the idea." Here's your chance to play George Lucas and post your most mind-bending McGuffins below... Phil de Semlyen
i for one,now whenever i think about indy 4 have the memories of South Park with THAT episode, with the deliverance theme
check it here see what i mean if you missed it(and cover your eyes)
your guess is as good as mine as how official this is(i think its fake, but i have been wrong before)...i do know that the MGS film had been on the cards for awhile, and even that Christian Bale was 'rumoured' to be in it(well,i think it was between him and Hugh Jackman)
here is the poster
it lists Daniel Craigs name at the top,and first...which leads me to believe it may be bollocks, surely Bale would be playing Snake..(ie The Star),so be first listed, right?
July 2011 release-for starters,Daniel Craig has Bond 23 out in 2011,and they always take an age and a lot of work to do...and Christian Bale has the new Batman and Terminator films out due 2011-2012..so he is gonna be busy also
and one to top it off...two British Actors??...nah,Hollywood wouldn't let that happen,LOL
The Poster is definetly a mock up i reckon,no doubt..i could of done a better poster myself...but whether its there for concrete plans for the movie i dunno
off topic Reign of fire was on TV the other day,it was better that time around than when i first watched it all those years ago
i can't imagine who could take the place of Clancy Brown as the Kurgan
but will they be able to have a French man, playing a Scottish Man and a Scottish man playing a Spanish man?
and here's hoping that you wont be able to see the wires so much this time
if they don't have the Queen Soundtrack then i for one, right now is saying it will be shit!!
><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> slightly off topic, but did anyone see that new Castlevania E3 trailer, there is apart in that trailer, that reminded me off The Highlander
there is a part at 1 minute 17 seconds, where he says 'i have done questionable things'...in my eyes he should of said 'There can be only one'
and check my screenie i made when he says that....look like anybody?
check out the Youtube video of it and even listen for how the voice is similar
There has been a bit of a buzz on the internet about an A-Team Movie
apprently they have been speaking to Liam Neeson, based on the ass kickings he dished out on Taken, as Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith Which i reckons could work, but only if the "loosen" Neeson up a bit, as Hannibal had a kinda "slickness"
Bradley Cooper is being lined up as Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck. I dont really know this guy but he seems to have the look
rapper Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. AKA Common (Barnes in Terminator Salvation) is being lined up as BA, i reckons thats will work
they say that the role of Murdoch could be Jim Carey (please no), or (and i think this would be alot better) Woody Harelson.
Ridley Scotts name is being banded as director. They will update the story so instead of them on the run after Vietnam, but have them on the run after the Gulf war
if Alien was the first and Aliens was the second, does that mean the prequel will be called 'Alie'..LOL
well, not the prequel, but Ridley Scott being back in the Alien Franchise has been happening for ages, seems him and his brother Tony Scott are both producing the film
apparently its all happening around the Space Jockey, and that Derelict spaceship that John Hurt and posse went noseying around in,in the first film, its gonna show how the ship crashed etc
can't say i am happy really, the origins of the Space Jockey should remain unknown, its better that way..and another thing is,that the space Jockey was an Alien itself, just not wierd two mouthed vicious sons of a bitches type Alien...so wheres the cast gonna come in?..no Humans?..also hadnt the Derelict ship been on LV426 for 1000s of years??
i do remember that the original script for Alien 4 was Lance Henrickson's Character(the evil one)going in search of the original Alien Planet..not where the space ship came from, but the Aliens who obviously made the ship crash in the first place..but that was before they got Siggsy Weaver in
so yeah, can't say i am happy the only saving grace is that Tony and Ridley Scott are on the project, both great directors, hopefully they will give Carl Rinsch a hand, who has only directed two Shorts and the last one of those was in 1996
here is Carl Rinsch complete work history(IMDB)

More News On Fox's ALIEN: LAST FLIGHT OF THE SPACE JOCKEY!!! Beaks here...
Remember that ALIEN remake Bloody-Disgusting reported on last week? Well, thanks to some pointed questioning by Collider's Steve "Frosty" Weintraub (who probably just attended his last Fox junket until Tom Rothman is tossed out on his tuchus) at today's THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1, 2, 3 press junket, we know now that it's a prequel. 'Cuz that's what hot.
Weintraub got this scoop from Tony Scott, who's producing the prequel with his brother Ridley at Fox. He also confirmed Bloody-Disgusting's report that the Scott brothers' protege, Carl Rinsch, will helm the project. There are no plot details yet, but my good friend and former colleague Drew McWeeny is probably not far off the mark with his fervent enthusiasm for a Space Jockey origin tale on Twitter. I hope this bittersweet scene makes it into Rinsch's film:
"'One day, Mommy Space Jockey, I'll go to the stars and I'll meet someone from another planet!' Sad, foreshadowy music."
I've got nothing but apathy for this movie. Maybe Ridley and Tony will hire a talented young screenwriter to knock out a sequel that doesn't trash the memory of the first and second films (I really like the third, too, but the first two are indisputable classics). I wish I could be optimistic, but they'll be working under the aegis of Fox aka The Prequel Factory. Here's hoping they've got a significant degree of autonomy over there.
