Why? Because it's the game that is holding back your friends list from growing.

The current cap on your Xbox Live friends list is—and always has been—set to 100, a paltry figure for some Live social butterflies. The reason that number hasn't budged in four years is reportedly due to one game.

According to G4, that game is Halo 2, built on the old Xbox Live architecture and a game that Microsoft still supports. Wisely supports, that is, as the original Xbox game still regularly sits atop the weekly "Original Xbox Top Live Titles." But it's supposedly the title that's hampering your ability to enjoy a wider circle of e-friends.

G4 cites a "high-level Microsoft source" in discussing Halo 2's effect on the bigger Xbox Live picture, which, while unconfirmed officially, makes a hell of a lot of sense. The kids love the Halo. He's a pretty cool guy.

Not a problem for me, as I only have two Xbox Live friends: Crecente and my mom. She always lets me win.

We've reached out to Microsoft in an attempt to get official confirmation of the limits on Live.

I officially hate Halo now.

Electronics retailer Best Buy is firing a shot at competitors GameStop and Game Crazy, offering a price match guarantee on video games that would match prices on new titles against other retailers used prices. Yeah, that is awesome.

One Cheap Ass Gamer snapped this photo highlighting the promotion at a West Jordan, Utah area Best Buy. The offer boasts that the store "now price matches NEW video games at USED prices from Gamestop or Game Crazy." GameStop's used pricing tends to be about $5 less than the retail price on new releases, a decent savings on brand new games, but not out of line with pre-existing deals offered by Best Buy.

Yeah, so Best Buy is officially badass in my book now.

Did you pass on Ninja Gaiden II, just like me? With Best Buy blowing the game out at just $9.99, it's going to be hard to pass on now. And the deals don't stop there.

The electronics retailer is ringing in 2009 with some serious price reductions, including a ten dollar asking price on Facebreaker, Turok, Condemned 2: Bloodshot and Major League Baseball 2K8. Most are multi-platform, so this includes you, PlayStation 3 owners.

Here's the full list, courtesy of Slickdeals.

Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360) - $9.99
Facebreaker (Xbox 360, PS3) - $9.99
Condemned 2: Bloodshot (Xbox 360, PS3) - $9.99
MLB 2K8 (Xbox 360, PS3) - $9.99
Turok (Xbox 360) - $9.99

Guitar Hero III ((Xbox 360) - $19.99
Guitar Hero Aerosmith (Xbox 360, PS3) - $19.99
Battlefield: Bad Company (Xbox 360, PS3) - $19.99
Quake Wars (Xbox 360) - $19.99
Unreal Tournament 3 (Xbox 360) - $19.99

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (Xbox 360, PS3) - $39.99
Rock Band 2 (Xbox 360) - $39.99
Mercenaries 2 (Xbox 360, PS3) - $39.99
Red Alert 3 (Xbox 360) - $39.99
Saints Row 2 (Xbox 360, PS3) - $39.99

In store or online — it's your choice.

May have to pick up a game or two....

On December 5th 2008 Sigourney Weaver hinted in an interview with MTV that she and Ridley Scott are working on an Alien spinoff film which will focus on the chronicles of Ellen Ripley rather then the Aliens.

I hope it's true.

Well, first off if you love Steve Carrell(sp) then you'll love this movie.

Now, Ali and I pretty much laughed this entire movie. Even the parts that were in the movie's trailer that we saw all the time, we still laughed our asses off when we saw them in the movie. I think the Rock has found his niche in comedy films(not those crappy Disney ones he started doing either), because he was pretty funny in this film too.
But I love the randomness of this film at times of how it kind of parodies Spy/Secret Agent/even James Bond films but it tries to be serious about it and funny at the same time lol.
But I'll eventually buy this movie, it's that funny.
Even if you don't like Steve Carrell(sp) you should still give this movie a chance, it's great for laughs.

I'd give this 9 Watch Gadgets out of 10.
